Well, I'm not generally cheesy, but I might as well make this. (For my 1337 post? Or not, making a blog of this instead.)
As of December 10th 2012 I've been an admin for Freefrag for a year. The experience was rough at the start and I honestly wanted to step down because of how much I had screwed up, luckily I never did - and never will - and kept my promise to this day to help the servers as much as I can.
It has been a great learning experience to be an admin with FreeFrag honestly. If I had never applied I would never know about basic infrastructure and would solely rely on school-taught ramblings without any experience.
Now, when I first applied, I thought I wouldn't even get it. I was an immature little twat who basically trolled doublecross every so often and just talked to rydash and indigo about what it's like to be an admin. Once cheese applied and got accepted I realised that if he could get accepted, why couldn't I? So I went ahead and asked rydash to be my co-sponsor, and the rest was the longest two month wait I've ever had happen.
Everything was fine, until the first admin re-structuring that happened when I was a level 1. I was so nervous that since mak was recently getting really annoyed with my behaviour, I would be demoted and fired. Such did not happen as I was nicely promoted to level 2. Months went by, I started playing CSS with Alex, Wicked and a few other regs when illusions was the RM. He stepped down along with that terrible drama, and fragfest started fading into "man these customs are boring. Going to go to HellsGamers server now". So I asked flik if I could become the RM, and with some training from flik - and some help from Razer honestly - I had set up the server so it would be alive and well again.
Being an admin has taught me many things. Mostly about my self and how I deal with things though, and how apparently I much more lenient compared to a few other admins, but mostly how I can solve problems so simply.
There are so many people that I'd like to thank, but they know what they did and who they are. I'd specifically like to give a shout out to three amazing staff members; Net: Bought me several games and helped with so much relating to admin issues and server issues. Flik: Potatoes. Razer AND Mak: Logic, how does it work?
To many more years of FreeFrag, and FreeFrag Admins.
