How about a general steam trading section for games/coupons etc, so that doesn't clutter the TF2 trading section?
Over the next couple of days I am going to be making some changes to our forum structure. These changes should make our forums both more organized and more active than they are in their current form.
We will be adding some new discussion sections while getting rid of some others that don't generate a great deal of traffic. If you have any suggestions for areas that you would like to see at FFN please let me know. We're willing to consider any good idea to help the forums expand and generate more positive content.

Should I just change the purpose of the trading forum to include those things? It's not like the trading forums sees so much traffic that it couldn't manage both.
I often trade games for games, items for games, and items for items(across different games), on Reddit. I also like to purchase the backpack contents of former TF2 players in exchange for games, and I wanted to make such a thread on FFN, but didn't really know where to post it for proper exposure.
So yeah, a Steam Trade forum would be good. I don't think it would that much traffic, but if you build it, they will come.
While we could combine them, thinking ahead, I'd hate to be trying to trade items and getting my post flooded with non-TF2 item trades, and vice versa - trade forums can get big pretty quickly, so I think sub-forums might be needed, unless there's a way you can filter using prefixes in the post title, e.g. [TF2-ONLY] for item-only, [STEAMINV-ONLY] for game/coupon trades, and [MIXED] for doing item<->game/coupon trades? Possibly an [OTHER] if people want to do inter-game (P2, spiral knights, etc.) trades.
That would probably keep most people happy, and also lets the initial poster (combined with [WANTED] [SELLING]) be more specific about what they want to keep down the clutter.
Sorry for the double post, but I didn't want this to get lost in my previous one:
It would also be nifty to have an "unofficial" event forum where anyone can post and try to organize an event to see if there's enough following to make it feasible.
This would be kinda nifty for "silly" events too, like heavy boxing-glove only derplecross... or similar things. Seeing a post like that, I'd probably join in just for the silliness - and it also gives people a place to check if they're wondering why payload suddenly became melee-only.
