    MW3

What do you guys think? Everyone is raging saying its a mappack for mw2 pretty much. But honestly i find it like MW1 gameplay with MW2 maps. I also noticed leveling is super easy i have played about 2 hours and 30 mins and i'm level 25. What do you guys think of it?

Im not remotely good at the game seeing as the only real shooter i've played the past 2 years is tf2 on solly which... doesn't exactly require super aim. I am getting a bit better though, was negative at first then 1:1 and now getting positive more often, actually just went 22:6 and wanted to do naughty things to my keyboard. So i would definitely say leveling depends how good you are seeing as i am about 3 hours in and only level 20 due to being overly cautious at first and also really bad xD

This is my first owned CoD game, however i have watched gameplays of CoD since the first MW. People calling it MW2S(apple reference) are idiots and obviously made up their minds before reading any of the changes or playing the game. Dedicated servers need the ability to be ranked, lobbies are a $#@!ty console crutch and we don't need them in these parts. Lobby lag hasn't been horrible though, sometimes i do get someone that kills me before they even round a corner though and then when the death cam replays they were really sticking the barrel down my throat. They took out diving but i still see prone as a stupid thing in a game like this, half the time prone feels like a win button if you walk into someone. Overall verdict, i will sink many many hours into this game, i love the feel of it.

Own and played several CoD games including the most recent Black Ops, educated in all of the game's new changes & tweaks from the old games, and good at first person shooters, yet I still think MW2S is a map pack. All the changes made to the game could have easily been done with an update or expansion that costs less than 20 dollars for 4 maps. Look at Tf2's original game vs Cod's original game. In terms of content, the difference is that one updates and one sells a new copy every year.

As someone who understands this unbiasedly, I can say the series is $#@! and I don't think I'm an idiot because I have more experience and knowledge with CoD than you do. The game itself may be great individually -- it may be polished, somewhat fun, and I'd probably say it's comparable to Counter-Strike if I took enough drugs or received some brain damage from a car accident -- but it is not even close to being worth 60 dollars. In that sense, if you look at what you're paying pound for pound from your buck, you'll realize that you're getting ripped off no matter how big of a CoD fanboy you are. The only exception is if you have never owned a CoD game, and you're a new consumer as opposed to one that comes back.

OP asked for what I felt about CoD, so I said my opinion. Here's a meaty analogy:

I feel like Activision's business model is similar to the business models of cars and smartphones. Every year, they come out with a new version that is slightly more polished with slightly improved features. Phones models are seemingly being updated in less than 6 months now. With CoD, instead of taking advantage of digital game-updates, they are releasing a new product like cars and smartphones. The difference is that when people buy a smartphone and car, they last a loooong time (at bare minimum 2 years for phones with contracts), with a finished product that can theoretically last many years after it becomes outdated. With CoD games, your game is outdated when the next game comes out. Your product is pretty much useless/pointless as people move onto the next game. It's like MTG, you have to buy all the recent cards in order to play in Standard. If you're not in standard, why are you playing Magic seriously?

I've talked with multiple friends who are huge fans of the series. So far, they aren't happy. They are pissed because they are finally seeing what I've been telling them for years.

I've heard the campaign is decent though, so I may borrow a copy to play that. MP is pointless though. If I want that small map deathmatch stuff, I can play TDM on BF3.

I like that you type a lot when explaining i always feel bad for the walls i generate sometimes xD I do agree that the game should not be how much it is no matter how much i like the game. I feel like i should make that clear that they definitely changed a good amount of stuff imo but that they definitely did not do enough to justify making it a 60$ game. I think this is the same reason i did not get BF3 on release is because i have played every BF before it and this just felt like BF2+$#@! ton of lighting effects. I guess thats the same feeling most people got on MW3 that had played all the previous iterations which i guess is a good and bad thing, because even you said its "somewhat fun" and personally im having a blast even though my ass is being force fed through my mouth every once in a while.

Overall id agree with your point, the game is overpriced, but i guess most people justify the price because of their attachment to the game and the time they put into it. I love that someone finally has a different opposition to CoD rather than QQ its not as pretty as BF3, or that its not a slow, tactical, large player based game. If you try playing a game for anything other than what it is it doesn't make the game bad it just makes you retarded. /aimedateverybf3playeriveeeverheardtalkaboutCoD

Edit:The only really thing that could ruin this game for me is hackers... which i have seen a few of this morning. Lets hope that $#@! gets fixed in a decently time friendly manner. /doesntgethopesup
