    At a Distance

    About

It's from the creator of VVVVVV, and I thought it was a really good concept. Bad thing is, is that it's meant to be played cooperatively (while looking at each other screens), and I have no buds to do that with.

So, I was wonder if one of you delightful people would play this with me, and help me set up a way we can play together online while at the same time looking at each other screens.

I know it's possible. It's just a matter of finding a great solution and actually doing it.

    So....anyone?

Btw, it's free. Just letting you know.

I DON'T HAVE TWO COMPUTERS - CAN I PLAY THIS ONLINE WITH A FRIEND?
It's not ideal, but if you're able to set the game up so that you can see the other player's screen and communicate with them (via Skype's show screen feature, for example), then you should be able to get it working. You will probably need to set up port forwarding on your router to establish the connection, though - At a Distance uses port 25001.

went to the site and read about it... the concept looks really cool, and probably fun to play too... but from VVVVVV? does that mean table-flipping difficulty?

Also why in all things does the website and the game look so... trippy?

I don't know about both those things, but it's awesome.

Also, I think I figured out a way to set it up over the internet:

    1. Set up a network via Hamachi.

    2. Use livestream or skype's show screen feature to look at each other's screens while playing.

    3. Use Teamspeak 3 to talk to one another.

    4. Play.

That's a lot of crap to do for a game. I think this is why it's meant to be played locally, haha.

Well, if you are still up to it after looking at this post, Captspiffy, I'm willing to to try it.

EDIT: https://secure.logmein.com/products/.../download.aspx That's the link to the free version. I thought for a minute that it was impossible, but they do have a free solution.

Yeah you could use a program like TeamViewer to look at each other's screens, but the problem is lag. I doubt you'll be able to play if it's a fast paced game or has some platforming that requires some reflexes. Or maybe that's just me since my Internet is kinda slow
