Penny Arcade Gaming Site of the Day: After years of pointing out the flaws in various sites covering the game industry, Penny Arcade’s Gabe and Tycho are taking matters into their own hands and launching a Penny Arcade gaming coverage site.

They’ve hired Ars Technica games writer Ben Kuchera to head the new project. He’ll initially serve as the only writer, delivering longform articles three days a week.

“We’re bringing him on to create industry coverage you can read without holding your nose, essentially,” Tycho wrote on the Penny Arcade blog, “I want a perspective, I want a Curator for the Internet’s gaming content. In a couple words, I want something less insulting and disposable.

Kuchera is currently answering questions in the Penny Arcade forums.

Meanwhile at Ars, former Joystiq staffer Kyle Orland will be taking over Kuchera’s former position.
