    I wouldn't call it amazing, but the game is quite good, yes.

    It's interesting to play "modern" Sonic levels that are actually fun. I don't buy it when people say that 3D platforming "just doesn't work." It can work if it has solid level design.

    It's not sonic 2006 bad, but with the exception of a few levels from Sonic Adventure 2 I've never liked the 3d platformer sonic levels. Then there's the annoying way the camera acts sometimes and the less fluid movement through the level compared to the 2d version, and of course the different set of controls. Even the way he jumps it different and throws you off when switching between them.

    Well then they need to fix that.
