    Sonic Generations: Speed Highway runthrough.

I know alot of people here like sonic, and have been looking at Sonic Generations abit and have been on the fence...

I just did a playthrough of one of the levels as both modern and classic sonic, just to show you how freaking AMAZING this game really is.

    Enjoy

    That...

Was one of the most incredible things I have ever seen in video gaming.

    I want this game now.

The best part is, all the levels are like that... plenty of 2D for the classic sonic maps and for the 3D.. the mix of 3D and 2D sections are awesome.. and the precise movement's during 'gauntlet' scenario's just makes it so much easier to thread the needles so to speak

The 'running down the building' part is an example of a 'gauntlet' section.

If I can figure out more recording stuff... I want to do more of this kind of stuff.. I have a 20 minute clip of my playing VVVVVV (and getting every token I Came across... even Veni Vidi Veci for those that know THAT one )

Also: IF people want to see more places/stuff.. lemme know.. i'd love to do more of this stuff as I figure out how to get the best type of file to upload to youtube.

I will warn you though.. that level does have a habit of $#@!ing with the camera levels in modern sonic (infact, most issue's I get are in the modern era.. but... ) that drifting part where I was drifting around cars and stuff.. it has a habit of making it look backwards instead of forwards... which is really annoying..

The game has some flaws in terms of killing yourself by going to fast or missing a spring/trigger for other area's... but.. once it happens, you quickly learn to not do it again and it's fine...

This game was worth the 15$ I spent on it

Why is it when making sonic games whenever they take a step forward they have to make two steps back? They give us a tiny handful these sweet 2d platformer levels better than that Donkey Kong game or those Mario bros. ones that use the same engine, but they mix it with badly made 3d levels and bring back the characters. Who was complaining about the lack of extra characters in their most recent games? They mix the classic silent sonic with the annoying talking one so we can remember how much we like the older one who we'll never see again.

This game isn't Sonic 2006. The 3D levels look just as awesome as the 2D ones: awesome. What's so badly made about them?

I hated it when modern sonic talked.. but... I loved the modern ones sooo much more than the classic... but both were phenomenally well done.
