That is why I no longer buy EA games for PC. If I get an EA game it will be on console.
God I am so sick and tired of EA's Origin, ever since it came out I have not been able to make a purchase on it. 2 years ago before Origin I had no problems, I actually bought a couple games but since it came out all I now get is "Payment Authorization Failed". I can't tell you how many major deals I have lost out on, I once had a chance to get Dead Space 2 for 20 bucks the week it came out on Origin but of course the same issue. Today I actually spent 4 hours talking to different support people of course all of them are over in India because god forbid we hire people in the US to work support.
Anyways I have gotten fed up with it and not even sure if I want to buy SWTOR now, all I wanted to do was buy the Digital Deluxe Edition but no, EA wont let me all they can tell me is "Aman: Okay, as we have done all the possibilities so I'll suggest you to purchase the game by any of your near retailer." The reason I am buying from you is because this is the only place I can get it dummy. EA just give up with Origin and work with Valve on Steam, its so much better and 10x easier to get a game.
So anyways anyone else here have the same issue? Has anyone ever figured out a fix?

I had a problem with the battlefield 3 beta and BFBC2 in that I could rarely connect to any server, and when I did I was immediately kicked because I was detected as using hacks. (seriously?) So I've had problems, just not the problems you're having. I think the general consensus of the internet community is "$#@! Origin." I've already sent EA and email saying that I won't buy their products until they either fix their issues or go back to Steam, which sucks because that means I won't be able to get Mass Effect 3 until they fix their $#@! >![]()
To be fair, Steam was also bad when it first went live. That being said, Origin should have taken cues from Steam on how to make their platform more efficient right off the get-go.
Regardless though, EA is all about complete monopoly, with no little to no support for the modding community, or the LANing community, or anyone that wants to play offline.
I could go on and on with other things I dislike about EA.
My friend bought me pre'd BF3 with full dlc, well i was never able to activate the karkand dlc, sent them a ticket a few weeks back, logged back into Origin twice since then and still no answer from them. Not that I really care, while BF3 is a very well made game, I never really got into it, and I still end up being drawn back to TF2 for my FPS fix...
Collectors isn't really worth it I think, but the gemstone is nice till level 20. If ya ain't got nobody else come play with us![]()
