Steam for Mobile Devices
Edit: looks like it is still in some sort of beta period. I downloaded/installed, but it won't let me log in. Maybe it is something I need to opt into on the desktop client. Will update once i get home and can check.

Tried on android phone, went to login and gave an error saying I wasn't part of the beta and could not use the app at the time.
Looks like you have to login to the app to signup for the possibility to enter into the beta. Atm the app itself is not usable.
The initial beta release will be locked. While the apps can be freely downloaded, not everyone will gain immediate access. "Those who wish to join the beta just need to download the Steam app (free of charge) and log in to their Steam account via the mobile app to express interest in the beta," the announcement notes.

Seems like an attempted and failed log-in is how you apply for access? Man I hope this happens soon....this is game changing.
Just a heads up, you have to sign your account up for this beta on your PC before you can use it.

How do you do that? It's not under the beta participation thingy in settings.
I was wondering the same thing, as I'm seeing people say there isn't anything in the PC client that opts into mobile beta. It seems like everyone says an attempted login to the mobile client is a beta invite request.
