"Periculosum est solum ire! Hoc cape!"
So does this mean that for any purchase now that we won't get any future purchases for free, or just the people who buy beta so that the people who have it already will always have it?New license change to affect beta purchases to remove the promise that all future purchases will receive new content free

Apparently, from what I've read: Those that buy alpha will ALWAYS get updates included. Those that buy beta will likely get bug fixes, but Notch will not be legally bound to give them anything. From Notch's Twitter feed:
Notch: If you buy the game, regardless of when, you never have to pay again to get the full version.
Perfectshot29: @notch sorry. i didnt type that correctly. We have to buy beta if we already have alpha?
Notch: @Perfectshot29 no, if you have alpha, you get all future updates for free, including beta, release, and all expansions
devon64327: @notch So people who buy accounts after the beta hve to pay for updates, but im free for life because I paid for it in alpha?
Notch: @devon64327 They MIGHT have to pay, we don't know yet. We're changing it because the promise is scary. But you're safe.
CitricQuid: @notch can you clarify the "We will also change the license to remove the line that promises all future versions of the game for free." line
Notch: @citricsquid It means the board, and some lawyers got scared by that promise.
Notch again: The "all updates free" still applies to old accounts. We're taking it out because it scares both lawyers and the board.
So, it's pretty open-ended right now, and a bit contradictory. I guess we'll see. Notch seems to be dancing around any definitive answers concerning the updates for betas.
I believe he's thinking that in the future there might be expansion packs that he will want people to pay for.
Alpha buyers will get those expansions free, Beta and future buyers will have to pay.
This line intentionally left blank.

That's how I read it, well, Katsu if you're reading this, like I kept saying, buy it now or else you'll be sorry for buying it later.
