As for the cables, what does your monitor accept and what do you have?
So... on black Friday I finally decided to get a new graphics card, and now that I have everything, I need proper ways to install the drivers...
I tried searching the right way to do it, however the tutorials are not clear enough... (Maybe it's just me)
so... am I supposed to change the card before uninstalling the old driver? or am I
supposed to uninstall the driver, install the new one then put the new card in?
and also, am I supposed to use something driver cleaner or something?
PS: I am switching from Nvidia to AMD.
Thanks,
Keyboard
EDIT: and I just realized, I need a DVI cable for this thing, but my monitor doesn't have the exact same plug thing... is that normal?
or I might as well go for HDMI...
Um, I heard that if I have the old drivers in my computer it bounds to create problems, especially gaming.
What I don't understand is when exactly I am supposed to uninstall the old driver and install the new one.
And... the only thing I have right now is a VGA cable and my new card doesn't support VGA...I probably need to get a cable from store on Monday, or tomorrow if I feel like walking.
and my monitor doesn't have a DVI input slot.

It'll most likely ask you if it should delete the nvidia drivers, if not just do it afterward.
What's the card anyway?
Too strong of an opinion can interfere with the process of collection.

I don't think you are getting the point here, I know I am supposed to have the new driver installed, but the problem is I have an old driver in my computer, and it will make problems once I install the new driver into my computer.
I am looking for a proper way to remove the old one before I do anything with the new card.

Just uninstall the drivers first, then remove the old card, put in the new card, because you have no drivers it will use basic settings, then install the new drivers restard your computer. That's how you do it

Your supposed to;
Uninstall the current drivers.
Restart.
Run Driver Sweeper, and remove all instances of the old driver.
Turn off your computer, make sure you have grounded yourself, and install your new card.
Start it back up and install the new drivers.
