Free Frag Network - Server Rules - Updated 09 NOV 2010

1. No hacks, cheats or map exploits will be tolerated. This is a hard and fast rule and will result in a permanent ban from our servers. This extends to any sort of botting or automation programs as well.

2. Mic spam is against the server rules. Short clips less than 5 seconds are allowed if they are not continuously played. This includes singing, excessive yelling, annoying sounds or anything else that is overly disruptive to the remainder of the server. Level of annoyance is determined by the rest of the server and not by the person violating the rule. Violation of this rule will be met with a gag/mute. Continued violations will lead to a kick and eventual ban.

3. No hate speech or personal attacks. This includes but is not limited to racism, sexism or anything else along these lines. Please remember that while we have no banned words we do have banned intentions and will deal with violators accordingly.

4. No being a douche. This is our catch all rule and while vague it is necessary to keep our servers running efficiently. This includes things like:

Disregarding admin requests or directed admin attacks
Circumventing rules or looking for little ways to avoid the rules
Rejoining the server after a mute to circumvent the mute
Griefing other players or the Intel
Teamstacking or Rejoining to avoid a team scramble

5. We do not allow offensive sprays on our servers. This includes: genitalia, racist/sexist statements, excessive gore, links to other sites or anything else similar to the above.

6. Trading has become extremely disruptive to our servers since the latest TF2 Update. Because of this we are officially instituting a ban on excessive trading, trade spam or idling on our TF2 servers. I will give definitions of these three actions below.

a. Excessive Trading - This is specifically for people who sit in spawn and do nothing but trade. This also applies if a person is spending an excessive amount of time in spawn/spec working out a trade. If a person is found doing this they will be kicked from the server. If you have a trade that takes more than a minute to figure out you should log off the server and take the conversation to steam IM.

b. Trade Spam - We have a forum specifically for trade advertising and because of this we do not allow trade advertising on the servers. Continued unwanted trade requests, trade advertising in chat or trade spamming on the voice channel will not be tolerated and will result in being kicked from the server.

c. Idling - Idling on any of our TF2 servers is forbidden. Using a bot program to defeat our AFK Kicker will result in a ban from our servers.

There are specific servers out there for Idling and Trading. If you chose to engage in these activities please do so on those servers designated for them.

7. If you at any time have an issue with an admin decision you have two possible options.

a. In the case of a ban, you have the option to contest this ban in our ban contest forum. Please use the format stated and a level 3 will review your contest and make a final decision.

b. In the case of perceived misconduct of a Level 1 or 2 FFN Admin please contact one of the Level 3 admins directly. You may do this via Forum PM or by Steam IM.

Remember that any time you question an admin decision or the interpretation of these rules a FFN-3 admin is the ultimate authority. Don't hesitate to contact us and ask questions. Trust that I would much rather speak with an angry member in a Steam IM than ban them from the forums for making a bunch of hate filled spam posts. Option #1 is much more productive.
