The new widowmaker change is more significant then just "50% less ammo used". This change might have pushed the wm into upgrade territory, you can now theoretically gain metal and at a fairly fast and easy rate. Since once damage is one metal and you will be able to make that back at medium range shots, however once you get into closer territory you will be doubling your metal. This will allow for faster upgrades of forward buildings. Along side that if you catch a team unaware you can just let the hammer down and tear into people. If a heavy is not paying attention you can mow him down and his medic and still be ready to fight. It is a great weapon now, however the caveat is being able to hit your target. So while you should be able to eek out more returns from the wm, the standard shotgun still might be best for all around use.

They continue to $#@! on the art direction but I shouldn't be surprised. The quick load outs are excellent, great for switching between pocket soldier load out to roaming DH soldier. The rest is cosmedic things that are of little interest.
