    Payload 1 and 2 Server Maps - Add/Remove Request Thread

    Important: If you need to download files manually ahead of time b/c of a slower connection, or you are getting a map version Conflict while trying to connect to the server... Go to the FFN htmlFTP mapserver to find the maps you need and save them to your "{drive-letter}:\Steam\steamapps\{username}\team fortress 2\tf\maps" Directory.




    Anyone who plays on payload, what maps would you like to see?

    This is the official Add/Remove Maps thread for the payload server. Please post all suggestions for modifications of map rotation (& features) here.

    Currently-active Plugins: ==Donator Perks==, Instant Respawn for the attacking-team(BLU) on all maps with heavy chokepoints,
    and gScramble /w "Buddy System" & team preference.
    Current Voting percentage needed for scramble: 50%

    It's gigantically open, sniper heaven, and there are places where engies can build that almost no one can get at. You need a demo at JUST the right angle for a minute or two to get the guns down.

    Wait scratch that, I might be able to fix it myself as soon as I find my old Map Decompiler tools... There's a few changes I'd make to Cranetop too... will post in the original thread once I have them done

    I'd like to propose this simple change to Outback:

    ...start with a Duct in one of the buildings about 30 yards back from the chokepoint that you can rocket/sticky jump up into.

    ....connecting to the second floor of the building over-looking the chokepoint. Slap in some real widows and a health kit & ammo... bam, balanced chokepoint. Anyone agree/disagree?


    It didn't decompile perfectly for some reason so There's a bunch of other problems with Area portals I'd have to fix with this map just to get it running so I really need to know if I should go forward with making these changes myself, or just track down the original Creator or ask him for his original VMF. (IE: it could take a whole week to back-engineer this puppy)
