A few days ago I got my hands on the new venture by Steam. Steam Mobile, currently available for the iPhone and Android Smart Phones. I am reviewing on the Steam Mobile for the iPhone.
The Good News: It's still in Beta. Its pretty awesome. Chat with friends, view screenshots, shop the catalog, Pretty much everything you could do with Steam on your computer except play games. And that may change, just a personal theory of mine, but if Steam is moving into the mobile market, they may be thinking about providing games for mobile users. Which would also be awesome. Easy to use, interface friendly, pretty much everything you would expect from Steam.
The Bad News: Still in Beta. Some of the features don't work yet, or don't work well; screenshots, friends video's, and it doesn't push messages through as a notification when chatting with friends. The chat interface is a little clunky as you have to view someones profile to chat with them, and if you are chatting with multiple people, that means you have to view everyone's profile even when switching between chats. Kind of a headache but again, still in Beta.
I wish I knew how to upload screenshots from my iPhone without using a camera. If anyone knows a good App?
To get access to the beta, you have to be in the Steam Beta through your computer. Find the App on the iPhone App Store or Android Marketplace, download the app, run it, input username and password with the Steam Guard safety password (not sure if it works without steam guard) and then wait for the invite. Fortunately, with your brand new access to the Steam Mobile App, you also get one invite to send to your friends. I sent mine to Sega because he has an android and will be letting us know what its like on the Android.
Already have access? What did you think of it?

Mine also pushes notifications.
Also, you can get straight to a convo from your friends list by pushing the talk bubble on the far right. That skips the whole profile view.
Does it do trading? You said pretty much everything, but i just want to make sure.
I have heard that the Android version works a LOT better than the iOS version of the app.
I don't think there is any trading interface yet.
No problem with pushing notifications.. No problems with having it open on the PC and Phone at the same time. Um.. Yeah.. It's actually running great for me. I have yet to find a major bug or issue with it.
Press sleep button and home button at the same time to take a screenshot. Then download Dropbox app. Once linked to your account, you can upload the picture to your Dropbox, then place it in your public folder.
Voila, uploading made easy.
