This guys voice, i like it lol. Also a fantastically done video.
While this video takes place in WoW, I think it can be applicable to nearly any video game addiction. Taking things to that extreme is never healthy, but can be ok if you balance it with real life.. Rather than using it as an escapement from real life.
"IRL - In Real Life" is a short, light-hearted documentary looking at the effects of World of Warcraft addiction
Very well done, and inspiring almost. Makes me want to go out and do something.
"We're drunks. We're fighters. Hell, we're liars. But there is a little good in every irishman." - Grace O'Keefe, Kill the Irishman
How inspiring, now back to minecraft...
Kind of sad to know how many people let video games take over their lives entirely.. if you're missing out and skipping things like going to college because you want to game more, there is something that needs to be addressed =\
...*sigh* I love/hate movies like this..
it's awesome to see someone take control of their lives like he did... But it always makes me feel alittle bit bad...
I spent alot of time on the internet, mainly due to the fact I have no where to go (litterally, I have barely any money) and I generally don't like people (because most people are idiots and make me facepalm harder than hitting myself with sledge hammer).
However, I think i've struck a nice balance with how things are... I spend alot of time online mainly because I actually enjoy it... and i've been doing things that have actually been productive. I go to work, I go to school, I talk to people at both (I hope to find a club at school too, so more social interaction) and i've been slowly getting back into another hobby of mine that literally lets me beat the crap out of others with foam!
...This was a really well done movie and i'm happy for em... I just hope most people realize... Gaming should be taken as a hobby.. not a way of life.
