Thread: Cataclysm 5-man Dungeon Strategy Guide / Walkthrough

With Cata in just a week I thought it maybe useful to put together strategy videos for 5-man dungeons which you guys will be encountering very soon. For those who don't want to keep wiping.. and actually know what to do, these videos may come in handy. I put them in order of level/difficulty. Personally from what I have seen the lvl80-81 instances aren't too bad, they don't really need any CC or anything special, 82-85 dungeons though would be advisable to watch. Especially the lvl85 dungeons which prepare you for heroic dungeon encounters. I will post heroic strategy videos here

Guide to All Dungeon Entrances in Cataclysm - In Cata you will need to 'discover' the entrance of 5 man dungeons before you can que for them. This short video gives you an glimpse of each entrance so you know where to go.



Throne of Tides (80-81) - The Throne of the Tides' entrance can be found at [71, 29] beneath the Abyssal Breach of the Abyssal Depths in Vashj'ir.

Blackrock Caverns (80-81) - Since this is a classic instance you will not need to learn the location of it to use random dungeon finder.



The Stonecore (82-84) - The entrance is at [47, 52] on the west side of the Temple of Earth, 2/3 to the top.

(long instance, takes about an hour in most of the videos I looked at)

Vortex Pinnacle (82-84) - Accessed at [77, 84] via the floating spires off the southeastern Uldum coast



Halls of Origination (85) - The Halls' entrance can be found at [72, 52] of eastern Uldum inside the large pyramid.



Lost City of the Tol'vir (85) - The instance line is at the lost city's northernmost point of [61, 64] in the Vir'naal River Delta of south-central Uldum.



Grim Batol (85) - Located in Twilight Highlands at [19,54]

Being a tank i guess it would do me some good to watch these vids. Will have to wait til i get home from work.
